Foam Tape
PE

i-STIX PE foam tape is a double sided polyethylene foam tape made by Instabiz Solutions in India. It comes 1 to 2 mm thick in black, white and grey with solvent (IS 54212 W), hotmelt (54214 W) or rubber (54213 W) adhesive, for mounting, sealing and bonding where a firm, closed-cell foam is needed.

How to apply

• Clean surfaces with IPA; dry

• Apply tape and press firmly

• Peel liner; position part accurately

• Hold firm pressure for a few seconds

• Choose PE over EVA for heavier or outdoor-exposed parts

• Use 1 mm on flat surfaces; 2 mm on textured

• Pick solvent grade for heat; rubber grade for fast grab

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between PE and EVA foam tape?

PE foam is firmer and more water resistant; EVA foam is softer and fills gaps better. Both are made by i-STIX.

Is PE foam tape waterproof?

Closed-cell PE foam does not absorb water, so it suits outdoor sealing and mounting.
